										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The Middle East College General Foundation Programme (GFP) is designed to prepare students for successful entry into higher education by developing essential skills in English, Mathematics, Computing, and Study Skills. For students in the GFP for BSc in Archives and Records Management, the programme covers three areas—Mathematics, Computing, and Study Skills—with instruction delivered in Arabic. For all other GFP students, English is the medium of instruction.</p>
<ul>
<li>The English component focuses on building both receptive and productive language skills required for academic success and future professional environments.</li>
<li>The Computing component introduces students to computer fundamentals and helps them use common applications to create documents, presentations, and spreadsheets.</li>
<li>The Mathematics component enhances students’ understanding of key concepts and fosters logical thinking and problem-solving abilities.</li>
</ul>
<p>The GFP is offered by the Centre for Foundation Studies (CFS). The CFS provides a high-quality learning environment led by a team of experienced educators. The centre features multimedia-equipped classrooms and modern labs that encourage student interaction and engagement. CALL (Computer-Assisted Language Learning) labs offer interactive English practice through the institutional online platform MECFuture.
