English MEC’s B.Eng (Hons) Civil Engineering programme has been accredited by the Joint Board of Moderators (JBM), UK, comprising the Institution of Civil Engineers, Institution of Structural Engineers, Institute of Highway Engineers and the Charted Institution of Highway & Transportation, on behalf of Engineering Council UK, as fully satisfying educational base for an Incorporated Engineer (IEng). The accreditation has been granted for the period 2019-2023. This accreditation also covers the period of 2012-2018 graduated cohorts.
This accreditation also means that MEC can now apply to the Engineering Council for the EUR-ACE Label for this programme. This is the European quality label for Engineering Degree programmes at Bachelors and Masters level that is awarded by the European Network for accreditation of Engineering education (ENAEE) via authorized agencies, of which the Engineering Council, UK, is one.
