English MEC Students Babpu Debnath and Abdullah Sulaiman Al Kharusi won the Outstanding Performance Award at the Huawei ICT Competition Middle East 2020 finals, along with other members in Team Oman 2.
Abdullah Sulaiman Al Kharusi expressed his delight at the achievement. He said, “This was an incredible experience, and I’m extremely proud to be part of the Oman team who secured the ‘Outstanding Performance Award’ at Middle East level competition. What is more remarkable is that I ended up at the top 6 at the national level, which saw participation from over 700 students from the Sultanate. The competition brought about new opportunities for all of us who participated. I could learn more about the latest technologies like 5G, for example.”
Delighted by the achievement, the MEC student Babpu Debnath said “It was an extraordinary experience for me competing with students from nine countries on such a global platform and gaining skills that I could apply throughout my life. This achievement has also boosted my confidence, and I look forward to participating in similar events in the future.”
