Middle East College (MEC) organized a blood donation campaign at the Student Hub in the MEC campus, Knowledge Oasis Muscat (KOM) on 17th and 18th March 2019. The event was organised to raise awareness and clear fallacies about the effects of donating blood on an individuals\u2019 health, and its impact at the social level. In addition, it highlighted the importance of blood donation in saving life, realizing its slogan for the event: \u2018Give blood. Give life!\u2019
\nAhmed Al Zedjali, Health, Safety and Environment Officer at MEC, spoke on the importance of organizing and participating in such events and campaigns. He commented: \u201cDonating blood is a great humanitarian service and our social responsibility. MEC, as an educational institution, seeks to spread awareness about such social and humanitarian actions, by annually organizing at least two blood donation events in coordination with governmental bodies that are specialized in this area. We hope that through such events we are able to save someone\u2019s life\u201d.
