Career Services, Alumni and External Affairs

The department is keen to build and maintain the prestigious image of the college locally and internationally through continuous communication with the internal and external organizations using all available resources.

  • Narrowing the gap between industry and MEC community.
  • Building long term & sustainable relations with industry.
  • Linking the academic departments of the college with the industry for creating student projects and assignment opportunities.
  • Linking the academic departments with the industry to get specific industry information.
  • Liaise with different industries for student field trips.
  • Building the entrepreneurship environment among students and graduates.
  • Strengthen the relationship between MEC and Alumni.

Career Services and Entrepreneurship Office seeks to guide students to explore their career options and to provide graduates with employment and internship opportunities. In addition, it seeks to provide employers with potential future employees and follows up on alumni employment status and maintains an alumni database. Moreover, it is involved in organizing and participating in various entrepreneurship activities internally and externally and spreading the entrepreneurship culture among MEC students.

 

Alumni Affairs Office (This office is concerned in all graduates affairs by following up with them to maintain their data after graduation and invite them to participate in various activities inside and outside the college such as community outreach projects)

Services for Students:

  • Provide internship letter for international students (Visit the office, Call)
  • Provide internship letter for Omani students (SIS, Call)
  • Provide lists/CV's of Students/ graduates to the industry (Email)
  • Provide Students visit letters for students to accomplish their assignments (Email, Visit the office)
  • Provide Entrepreneurs mentorship and guidance program for MEC students (Email, Visit the office)

Services for Staff:

  • Provide industry visit letters for Faculty  (Academic Departments ) to visit organizations (Email, Visit the office)
  • Provide Guest lecturer, Industry Speaker letters for Faculty  (Academic Departments ) (Email, Visit the office)
