Middle East College (MEC) organized its 2nd Alumni Iftar Gathering on Tuesday, 21st May 2019, at the MEC Student Hub, Knowledge Oasis Muscat (KOM). The event was attended by over 150 alumni, including MEC staff. The gathering aimed at bringing together MEC alumni in order to strengthen the relationship between alumni and the college. It helped in creating a platform for them to network with their colleagues who had shared their journey and also engaged in various events, activities and initiatives organized by the college. The event included various activities such as an ice-breaking session, competitions, and an instant photography session.
Khalifa Al Riyami, one of MEC’s alumni, expressed his happiness in being part of the event. He said, “It still feels like our second home as it always has been! MEC is always taking the lead and initiative to engage with its alumni and bring them together on different occasions. I am extremely happy to attend such events that bring the alumni together, giving them a chance to network, and refresh their college-time memories”.
“The college consistently engages its alumni in various events and activities as it seeks to keep them aware and connected to the college even after their graduation. We are happy that MEC alumni attended this gathering in large numbers. MEC has been regularly engaging with its alumni through various activities and events like the Alumni Café, workshops and Iftar gatherings. In addition, MEC has an Alumni Association which helps in engaging and maintaining the connection between alumni and college.
