MEC Student team bags Upgrade 2022 seed funding

Hearty congratulations to the winning team of the 6th UPGRADE programme. Our student team of Insiya Zehra, Wadhah Salim Said Al Darii, Tamadher Saleh Abdullah Al Hosni, Safa Ahmed Mohammed Al Baiti, and Asma Ghafoor Khan,  guided and mentored by Dr Vidhya Lavanya of the Computing and Electronics Engineering Department secured a seed funding of 12000 OMR to transform their project which focuses on long-term solar PV system output forecasting using Machine Learning. The funding will allow the team to transform their graduate project into a start-up.

We are incredibly proud that seven Middle East College student teams have won UPGRADE awards in this program in the past five years.
