Middle East College (MEC) is one of the leading higher education institutions in the Sultanate of Oman. Located in Knowledge Oasis Muscat, MEC has academic partnerships with Coventry University, UK, and Breda University of Applied Sciences, the Netherlands.

MEC is committed to transforming education for student success and well-being. The College offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes across Engineering, Business and Management, Science and Technology, and related disciplines.

MEC operates from Sunday to Thursday, with working hours between 7.00 am and 9.00 pm. Staff may be assigned to different shifts depending on their role, department, and official responsibilities.

Through its long-standing academic partnership with Coventry University, UK, MEC offers programmes that are aligned with international academic standards and supported by established quality assurance practices. The College also works with Breda University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands, which quality assures the Logistics Management programme offered by MEC.

تُعتبر مُحافظة مسقط قلب عُمان النابض. ترتبط المحافظة بميناء السلطان قابوس عبر كورنيش ولاية مطرح، حيث يمكن للزائر لمسقط أن يشاهد تنوعًا رائعًا في الطبيعة: شواطئ ذهبية، وجبال شاهقة، وكثبان رملية ذهبية.

وما يُلفت الانتباه في محافظة مسقط وولاياتها هو المزيج المُذهل بين التراث الثقافي القديم والأسلوب الحديث. ستشاهد المنازل والأبواب والأسواق القديمة والمحلات الصغيرة والطرق المتعرجة التي تعبق بالتاريخ العُماني الأصيل، جنبًا إلى جنب مع الأسواق والمحلات والمباني الحديثة والشوارع التي تحمل بصمة الهندسة المعمارية المتقدمة. يُتيح ذلك لعُمان الحفاظ على طابعها التاريخي وفي الوقت ذاته الاستمتاع بجمال روحها المعاصرة. تشتهر مسقط بأنها واحدة من أنظف العواصم العربية، وقد حصلت على شرف الفوز بمسابقة أنظف مدينة عربية عدة مرات متتالية.

 

عن قلب عُمان: مسقط

• رمال بوشر: ليست بعيدة عن شواطئ مسقط مع معمارها المتناغم وعلى مسافة قريبة من جامع السلطان قابوس الأكبر في قلب العاصمة: مسقط، هُناك في تلك الرمال سيجد الزائر تلالًا ذهبيًا، ومساحة مكتظة بالمحترفين الذين يستمتعون بالقيادة على الرمال باستخدام سيارات الدفع الرباعي الخاصة بهم أو أولئك الذين يستمتعون بالتزلج على دراجات الرمل التي يمكن استئجارها بسهولة في تلك المنطقة.
• شاطئ البستان: يقع في محافظة مسقط، ويمتد فندق قصر البستان على طول الشاطئ ويطل على الجبال التي تتداخل مع رمال الفندق والشواطئ. تضفي هذه الجبال على الشاطئ شعورًا لا يضاهى من الخصوصية والانسجام.
• جامع السلطان قابوس الأكبر: على ضفاف الطريق الذي يؤدي إلى قلب العاصمة: مسقط يأتي جامع السلطان قابوس متربعًأ بطرازٍ معماري مختلف، كمصباح يشع جمالاً يجذب زواره للتفاعل مع روح الإسلام كدين وحياة وعلم وحضارة. يسلط هذا المسجد الضوء على دوره كمصدر علمي وفكري للمعرفة في العالم الإسلامي.
• أبواب مسقط القديمة: تتكون من ثلاثة أبواب رئيسية: باب المثاعيب والباب الكبير والباب الصغير. يقع باب المثاعيب في الزاوية الغربية، أسفل قلعة الميراني، ويقع الباب الكبير في نهاية الجانب الغربي من الأسوار ويعتبر مدخلًا إلى معظم الطرق المؤدية إلى ضواحي مسقط ومدينة مطرح . ويقع الباب الصغير في منتصف الجانب الجنوبي ويعتبر أحد المداخل الرئيسية للمدينة العامرة.
• سوق مطرح: لكل مكان نكهته المميزة، ولكل مدينة سوق يروي حكاياتها، ويحتضن تاريخها، ويواكب تطورها. إذا كنت تستمتع بزيارة الأسواق العامة، فلا بد أن ترى سوق مطرح، أجمل سوق قد تراه عيناك على الإطلاق! يعد سوق مطرح من أقدم الأسواق في عمان، حيث يعود تاريخه إلى حوالي مائتي عام. ولعل قدمها زاد من مدى جمالها وسحرها وجاذبيتها.
  Mutrah Corniche:This is near one of the most important ports in Oman, Port Sultan Qaboos in the heart of the capital Muscat. It overlooks beautiful mountainous rocky formations and is one of the most gorgeous sites in the Governorate of Muscat, ideal for picnics, watching the sea and admiring ancient buildings.
• شاطئ القرم: يقع الشاطئ في منطقة القرم في قلب مسقط ويمتد على مساحة كبيرة. تم بناء عدد من الفنادق الراقية بجواره، مثل فندق مسقط إنتركونتيننتال وكراون بلازا. يُعتبر هذا الشاطئ واحدًا من أكثر الشواطئ ازدحامًا في مسقط بسبب موقعه القريب من المراكز التجارية والمطاعم. يمكن لهواة المشي الاستمتاع بالممشى على طول الشاطئ ومن ثم الاستراحة على الكراسي والمظلات المُطلة على المناظر الرهيبة التي تزين الشاطئ.
• منظر حديقة ريام: عند النظر إلى بحر خليج عمان هُنا، يصعب تخيل أن هذا هو مشهدًا لأحداث جيولوجية هائلة. قبل 90 مليون عام، بدأت شرائح سماكة عدة كيلومترات من القشرة المحيطية ببطء في الدفع نحو ساحل عمان. استمرت هذه الظاهرة الغير عادية لفترة تزيد عن 20 مليون عام، حيث تم دفع صخور من القاع البحرية العميقة على لوحة عمان القارية. الجبال الشاهقة المحيطة بمسقط وتمتد على مسافة مئات الكيلومترات إلى الداخل هي تجلي هذا التاريخ. إنها أكبر وأفضل جزء مكشوف للبنية الصخرية البحرية على اليابسة في العالم. وتتضمن تعرضًا واسعًا لجزء تقريبًا كامل من القشرة البحرية والمانتل العلوي (بطول حوالي 500 كيلومتر وعرض يصل إلى 80 كيلومتر).
