As part of its continuous support to the student committee and enhancement in the higher education sector, Middle East College (MEC) has reviewed the Archives and Records Management (ARM) programme and has revised and restructured the programme as per student needs after obtaining the required approvals from the specialized authorities in Oman. The programme has been modified to provide the best education for the students of MEC where some modules have been replaced, removed or added to strengthen the programme’s learning outcomes. The students who enroll in the programme will be able to get a Bachelor’s Degree in ARM within 4 years, as per the revised structure of the programme.
Harith Al Jahwari, Assistant Registrar at MEC, commented: “MEC always seeks the best for its students to provide them with the best educational experience and allow them to experience the true college life. The college is reviewing its programmes on a continuous basis to enhance them through its engagement with the experts in the industry, the academic partner universities and the specialized authorities in the Sultanate”.
It is worth mentioning that MEC launched the ARM programme about 10 years ago in coordination with the National Records and Archives Authority (NRAA), Oman and under the supervision of MOHE. The college has also celebrated the graduation of the 6 different batches from the ARM programme in the last few years, boosting the job market with well-educated and qualified members to contribute to the development of the community.
