Middle East College (MEC) celebrated the graduation of its 2021 batch in ceremonies organized over two days from Saturday, 26 March 2022, to Sunday, 27 March 2022, at the MEC Student Hub. 1,294 students graduated across several Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes in Engineering, Science and Technology, Business and Management, and Archives and Records Management.
The ceremony was conducted in seven sessions across two days in the presence of dignitaries, the members of the Management, members of the College Board, parents of graduates, faculty members, academic support staff, and the professional services team.
Dr. Kiran G.R., Dean of Middle East College, presided over ceremonies for awarding Undergraduate Diplomas and Advanced Diplomas in programmes offered in affiliation with Coventry University, the University of Wolverhampton, and Breda University of Applied Sciences.
His Excellency Hilal Bin Hamed Al Sarmi, Shura Council member presided over the ceremony to award Undergraduate Bachelors in programmes offered in affiliation with the University of Wolverhampton.
His Excellency Sheikh Rashid Bin Ahmed Al Shamsi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Development presided over the ceremony to award Undergraduate Bachelor’s in computing and Business Administration programmes offered in affiliation with Coventry University.
His Excellency Eng. Ibrahim bin Saeed Al Kharusi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism for Heritage presided over the ceremony to award Undergraduate Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Electronics and Telecommunication programmes offered in affiliation with Coventry University.
His Excellency Sulayem bin Ali bin Sulayem Al-Hakmani, Chairman of the Consumer Protection Authority presided over the ceremony to award the postgraduate degrees.
The final ceremony of Batch 2021 was presided over by His Excellency Sheikh Issa bin Hamad Al-Azri, The Governor of South Al Batinah to award undergraduate awards in Archives and Records Management.
Yazan bin Issa Al Muharrami, a graduate in Archives and Records Management said:
“I am proud and happy about this moment, as I consider it a well-deserved celebration after the continuous hard work and efforts, and determination to achieve this success. I congratulate and wish all the success to my fellow graduates and invite them to hold on and carry the college’s message and their education everywhere. I am ambitious to continue my studies in MEC by pursuing the master’s programme in my domain. Once again, congratulations to everyone who worked hard and achieved what they were waiting for.”
