The Quantity Surveying and Construction Management (QSCM) programme at Middle East College is organising an interactive career-focused workshop entitled “Exploring Careers in Quantity Surveying & Construction Management: Guidance, Opportunities, and Industry Insights” on Tuesday, 29th April 2026, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm in the Auditorium at the Student Hub. The workshop serves as a comprehensive platform to introduce students and those interested in construction careers to the fields of Quantity Surveying and Construction Management, highlighting the diversity of career opportunities, contemporary industry trends, and practical guidance for shaping professional trajectories. The workshop targets students from Middle East College and other colleges and universities across Oman, as well as school students, construction industry professionals, academics, and graduates from Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, and related construction specialisations. The workshop will be delivered by Mr. Philip Thomas (MRICS), Chief Executive Officer of Majan Engineering Consultants. The event will provide participants with direct opportunities to engage with industry professionals and alumni, and to acquire valuable insights into labour market requirements and essential competencies for success in the construction sector.
