Middle East College (MEC) is organizing its 2nd Teaching English to Speakers Other Languages (TESOL) conference focusing on “Emerging Trends and Contemporary Issues in Language Learning: the EFL Context”. The conference is scheduled on Wednesday, 28th October 2020, and it will be conducted online via Microsoft Teams. Two keynote speakers will deliver their keynote speeches at the conference: Prof. Thomas Robb, Professor Emeritus, Kyoto Sangyo University, and Dr. Ali Al-Issa, Associate Professor of English Language Education, Department of Curriculum and Instruction, College of Education, Sultan Qaboos University (SQU), Sultanate of Oman.
The conference aims to share the best practices in TESOL, enhance the methods followed in English language teaching and learning, and provide a platform for academics and researchers to showcase their innovative ideas and techniques. English language teaching-related themes like Blended learning during COVID-19, English for Academic Purposes, Writing across the Curriculum, Writing in the Disciplines, the 21st Century Language Classroom, Flipped Learning in ELT, and Innovative Pedagogies for Arab Learners, to name a few, will be discussed during the conference. TESOL Experts English as a Second Language (ESL) instructors, General Foundation Programme students, and Second English language learners will be attending the conference.
