Middle East College celebrates the Graduation of Batch 2024, empowering the world of work with 1012 future-ready graduates.

Middle East College (MEC) celebrated its Annual Graduation Ceremony for the Batch 2024 on the 7th and 8th of December 2024 at its Student Hub. The multi-day event celebrated the academic achievements of 1012 graduates across a spectrum of disciplines, including Engineering, Science, Technology, Business Management, and Archives and Records Management. The grand ceremonies reflected MEC’s unwavering commitment to empowering students through outstanding qualifications, immersive experience, and robust professional networks – hallmarks of the institution.

This year’s ceremonies, held in four distinct sessions, were graced by esteemed dignitaries, industry partners, management members, members of the College Board, parents of graduates, faculty members, academic support staff, and the professional services team.

His Excellency Dr. Saif bin Abdullah Al-Haddabi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation for Research and Innovation, presided over the ceremony awarding undergraduate degrees in the Logistics Management programme. The programme is affiliated with the Breda University of Applied Sciences, Netherlands.

His Excellency Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Humaidi, President of Muscat Municipality, presided over the awarding ceremony for undergraduate diplomas and advanced diplomas in Business Administration, Science, and Engineering programmes, offered in affiliation with Coventry University, UK.

His Excellency Prof. Abdullah bin Khamis Ambusaidi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education for Education, presided over the awarding ceremony for Bachelor’s awards in Business Administration and Engineering programmes, offered in affiliation with Coventry University, UK.

His Excellency Engineer Ahmed Hasan Al-Dheeb, Deputy Chairman of the Public Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones, presided over the final ceremony, which conferred bachelor’s degrees in the Archives and Records Management programme from MEC, bachelor’s degrees in science and technology programmes affiliated with Coventry University, UK, as well as postgraduate degrees from both MEC and Coventry University.

In his address, Dr Saleh Hamed Al Shaaibi, Dean of Middle East College, emphasised the dedication and diligent work exhibited by the graduating class, underscoring the significance of their journey, and said, ” As we gather here today, I am filled with immense happiness. Your unwavering dedication and diligent work have helped you reach this remarkable milestone. As you stride into the future, I encourage you to carry with you the values and wisdom instilled by Middle East College. Guided by the spirit of the Sultanate of Oman and inspired by Vision 2040, you step forward into a world eager for your contributions. The knowledge you’ve gained, the friendships you’ve forged, and the dreams you’ve nurtured here at MEC will light the path ahead.”

MEC’s newest alumni carry forward the institution’s ethos of innovation, resilience, and community impact, well-positioned to become catalysts for change – leaders, creators, and thinkers who will address the needs of local communities and the global arena. Notably, Middle East College stands proudly among the top 8 institutions in the Arab region, as shortlisted by Times Higher Education (THE) for outstanding achievements in Leadership and Management.
