This has made the field of Records Management closer to the discipline of Information Sciences. As a result, there is a clear need for a new generation of professionals with higher-level expertise in various fields of Records and Information Management, particularly in sectors such as archives, libraries, information centres, publishing houses, heritage houses, and similar organisations.
The Master of Science in Records and Information Management programme, therefore, focuses on providing specialist knowledge and skills in the documentation specialisation. With the most up-to-date programme structure, teaching methods and academic/research activities, the programme prepares graduates of MSc in Records and Information Management to take multi-skilled leadership roles with the ability to efficiently manage document or information departments and related activities in public and private institutions. Graduates of this programme will have the skills and knowledge to develop strategies to ensure optimal use of modern technologies in the field of documents and information.
