A separate orientation programme is held for you as an international student, to give you a chance to prepare for your time here at MEC and an opportunity to familiarize yourself with the culture and norms of the country. Orientation Programme
A separate orientation programme is held for you as an international student, to give you a chance to prepare for your stay here at MEC and an opportunity to familiarize yourself with the culture and norms of the country.
During the orientation, you will be acquainted with the various departments here at MEC for an easier and hassle-free time in the campus.

Visa Services 
Visa services are available for non-Omani students; you can contact the International Office to submit the visa and required documents for processing. Students from GCC do not require visa. However, they need to obtain Omani resident card to join the college.

Campus Tour
As an international student you can request a campus tour from the International Office after admission to get familiar with the campus buildings and facilities.

City Tour
The office can arrange for a city tour upon request covering the popular tourist areas and attractions of Muscat. This will be a cost effective way for you to get a quick glimpse of the city. 
The main aim of this is to make students aware of the Omani culture and get a view of the city. You will be able to find out more about this programme through the International Office after your arrival.

International Student Activities
Middle East College celebrates the multicultural diversity of its international students through activities that encourage the expression of the culture and traditions of their respective countries. These events promote the inter-cultural engagement among students belonging to different nationalities.

Two such events are:
-    Nations Day: The Nations’ Souk Day showcases the culture, cuisine and products of different nations. Students from different nationalities participate in this event by representing their nations at stalls put up by them and the three best stalls are awarded prizes. 
-    The International Day: Students from different nationalities participate in the International Day by representing their respective countries and projecting their culture, traditional clothes and food.
