Middle East College (MEC) organized the 3rd MEC Teaching and Learning, Research and Community Engagement Symposium for 5 days from the 29th of September to the 3rd of October 2019 on campus, at Knowledge Oasis Muscat (KOM). The closing ceremony was held under the auspices of Dr. Jokha Al-Shukaili, Director General of Private Universities and Colleges, Ministry of Higher Education, Oman and in the presence of Dr. Abdullah Al Sabahi, Chairman, MEC, Dr. Kiran G. R., Dean, MEC and other important personalities. The symposium covered several themes including Employability, Entrepreneurship, Community Service Practices, Research-Teaching Nexus, Internationalisation, Sustainable Pedagogies, Assessment and Feedback Practices, Collaborative Research and Research Commercialisation, and Industry and Intercultural Engagement. Various activities and events were organized during the event for the teaching faculty such as presenting a Department Award, and an Academic Staff Award for 2019. The event played a major role in sharing and celebrating best practices amongst the MEC staff.
