Middle East College is proud to announce the launch of its new Master of Science in Data Science programme, accredited by Coventry University (United Kingdom). The event, held under the esteemed patronage of Her Excellency Intisar bint Abdullah Al-Waheebi, Director-General of the Statistical Centre for the GCC Countries, took place on 25th August 2025 at the Student Hub, Middle East College.
This programme, which marks a significant milestone in Oman’s academic landscape, will shape the future of technology leadership in the Sultanate.
In response to the increasing global demand for highly skilled data scientists, the MSc Data Science programme is designed to provide students with the latest skills in data analysis, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and big data technologies. The curriculum is crafted to prepare graduates for high-impact roles in a data-driven world, offering expertise that aligns with industry standards and the evolving digital economy.
The programme covers essential areas such as Data Analytics, Machine Learning, Data Visualisation, Data Engineering, and AI-driven Decision Making. Students will gain not only technical proficiency but also critical thinking and research skills necessary to drive innovation and solve complex real-world problems.
