Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Business Administration with its four pathways in Human Resources Management (HRM), General Administration, Marketing, and Accounting and Finance, aims to equip students with a sound working knowledge and skills required for the management of contemporary issues and successfully navigate the business through an environment of business uncertainty and risk. This programme aims to produce tomorrow’s business leaders with specific skills related to Accounting and Finance, HRM, Marketing alongside General Management skills to meet the business world’s ever-changing demands and be equipped to meet future challenges.
The graduates in BA (Business Administration) will have appropriate knowledge and understanding of management’s general concept besides having specialized skill-set depending on the pathway chosen. In addition to this, the graduates will have relevant soft skills like effective communication skills, making exciting and convincing presentations, analysing management issues, and suggest innovative solutions.
The programme mobilizes available resources in the form of experienced faculty, state-of-the-art laboratories, and library resources to lead deep, application-oriented, active, and student-led learning. Extensive use of technology in collaborative learning is the hallmark of the programme. Flipped Learning and Massive Online Open Courses are suitably integrated into the learning experience to encourage students to embrace life-long and online learning as a way-of-life.
The students of the programme are given the opportunity to develop their employability through embedded content within the curriculum as well as through different co-curricular activities, such as site/field visits, industry expert guest lectures, optional internships, workshops on advance and current topics of the domain and diploma and bachelors projects oriented towards industry and community. Students of the programme are also engaged in research by providing them guidance to write and submit the proposal for ‘Undergraduate Research Grant’ of the Research Council and write research papers for student research conferences, both within MEC and outside.
