Innovative best poster competition: September 2021
Theme: It is an open platform for entrepreneurs, educators, students, staff and inventors to compete and showcase their Intellectual property in form of posters.
Intellectual property symposium for commercialization: December 2021
Theme: To identify and pursue potential projects to increase the commercialization and invite all industry partners and contacts
Topics covered in symposium but not limited to the following
- What is it, and why do we do it?
- The Technology Transfer process – the different mechanisms to transform research results into commercial innovation, the topics such as Discoveries, Inventions, Know-how and Patents,
- The players: the inventor, the research institute and the commercial organisation and the public, the ramifications of commercialising publicly funded knowledge,
- Entrepreneurship within HEIs: the role of faculty members, students and administrators in the Technology Transfer process, Day to day practice of the Technology Transfer process,
- Patents in a research institute: from invention to registered patent, Bridging the "Development Gap" – providing proof of principle, Business development and out-licensing, Licensing revenues and their distribution: up-front and milestone payments, equity and royalties,
- Responsible licensing: points to consider, Conflict of interest, Measures of performance,
- Case Studies, Analysis of actual local cases
