Middle East College’s Department of Computing and Electronic Engineering successfully hosted the TechHorizons 2024 Career Orientation Programme on 14 October.
The day was packed with enriching keynote speeches:
- Dr. Younis Al-Anqoudi discussed strategies for setting career goals and enhancing job search tactics, emphasizing the critical role of personal branding in the digital age.
- Mr. Sulaiman Al Darei explored the vital skills needed for a smooth transition from academic life to a professional setting, highlighting practical tips for career readiness.
- Ms. Muna Haider Abdul Redha Al Lawati offered insights into emerging technologies and the evolving career paths in tech, along with essential soft skills that are increasingly valued by employers.
Students engaged in interactive booth visits and mock interviews, gaining valuable real-world experience. The event wrapped up with a vote of thanks, marking another milestone in MEC’s commitment to shaping the careers of future technology leaders.
