The construction industry in the GCC has seen significant growth driven by economic development, urbanisation, and infrastructure projects. The region’s diversification efforts, population growth, and hosting of mega-events have fueled the demand for construction. As a result, there is a strong need for engineers who play a vital role in designing, planning, and managing construction projects. MEC’s Civil Engineering programme has been designed to tailor to the increasing market demand. The comprehensive curriculum fosters an in-depth understanding of local and international Civil Engineering practices, especially in the GCC context. Each module has been meticulously designed to equip you with the analytical, design, and management skills needed to solve complex engineering challenges, paving the way for future leadership in the field.
The programme has been accredited by the Joint Board of Moderators (JBM), UK, comprising the Institution of Civil Engineers, Institution of Structural Engineers, Institute of Highway Engineers and the Charted Institution of Highway & Transportation, on behalf of Engineering Council UK, as fully satisfying the educational base for an Incorporated Engineer (IEng). The programme was also awarded the European Accredited Engineer (EUR-ACE) label certificate in 2019, which indicates that the degree meets the educational requirements for the EUR ING title (professional title of European engineer).
