MEC postgraduate team pays a knowledge sharing visit to the Handicrafts Centre

MEC postgraduate team pays a knowledge sharing visit to the Handicrafts Centre

Dr Said Al Adawi, who owns the Handicrafts Centre, took us for a tour and detailed the activities at the Centre, including the hands-on training in pottery making, manufacturing, and sale of a variety of pottery items. The MBA students suggested various marketing strategies that can be adopted to strengthen the pottery business.

“It was a great experience visiting the Centre and listening to Dr Said, who has vast experience in multiple areas. I am pleased and honoured to be part of this community outreach event and know about the Handicrafts Centre that preserves Oman’s tradition in pottery,” said Mr Mahmood Al Mawaali, a PG alumnus.

PG students are delighted that they could share the knowledge acquired from their course of study with the local community, which carries forward Oman’s culture and heritage in traditional pottery.
