MEC Alumni wins the top spot in Tech Innovation competition held in UAE

It has truly been a wonderful experience to compete and win the 1st position in the Tech Innovation competition held at Skyline University, Sharjah. The competition brought together people from various domains who share the common goal of practical innovation using present-day hardware and software. This experience has broadened my perspective and thrust up my capabilities to new limits. The title of my project was “Advanced Vehicle Fire Safety System using IoT and Computer Vision”, a project idea that I had been working on during my time at MEC. The mentorship I received from Dr. Nizar was crucial for my success in this competition. My advice to the students currently studying at MEC would be to constantly get out of your comfort zone and take on new challenges and not just limit yourself to what you learn in classrooms.
