Community Outreach and Activities Department Profile

Student Activities Office:

1. To form clubs and societies based on students’ and staff needs
2. To conduct activities under the clubs at MEC
3. To conduct activities under the societies at MEC
4. To help students participate in events and activities outside the college
5. To form the Student Advisory Council at MEC
6. To enhance the student and staff activities at MEC through feedback and inputs from students and staff
7. To help new students joining the college, become familiar with departments and MEC campus by organizing orientation program.

Student Welfare Office:

1. To provide safe and hygienic accommodation to MEC students
2. To cater to students’ basic requirements such as:  shopping and entertainment trips, airport pick up and drop, field assignment trips, and any medical emergency visit to the hospital. 

1. Activities Office:

Activities Office is the central office for conducting activities at MEC and helping students and staff participate in activities inside and outside the college.  It has 5 societies and 7 clubs under its supervision as listed below.

Clubs: Clubs are based on the programs offered at MEC. Hence, a student automatically becomes a member of the club corresponding to his/her specialization.

• ARM Club
• Business Club
• PG Club

Societies: Societies are generic in nature. Students are allowed to choose any society at MEC based on their interest.

• Literary and Debating Society

• Sports Society

2. Student Welfare Office:

Student Welfare Office caters to the accommodation needs of students at MEC. The office coordinates and supervises separate hostels for males and females.
