The Centre for Postgraduate Studies was established in 2007 with an objective of managing and operationalizing the Postgraduate Programmes at MEC. The Centre, in addition to having its own faculty dedicated to PG teaching, collaborates with faculty members from different departments at MEC for various academic activities.

Some of the workshops are hands-on that help students enhance their knowledge about specific technological systems.
The Centre is well established with sufficient facilities to enable effective teaching and learning. It also has access to modern classrooms for delivering lectures; a well-stocked library with adequate print, online and audiovisual learning materials and a number of computers and design labs for practical work, online learning, and hands-on experience.
The databases provided by the library allow students to access reputed journals from within as well as outside the campus.
Access to Learning Management system such as Moodle enables students to have module related information available 24/7.
At least 1 module of each program is partially taught by CU faculty member
To support student research activities National and International conferences are organized. Three National conferences were organized during 2013, 2015 and 2017. 25+ Student papers were presented during the conference that provided an opportunity for PG students to publish their dissertation work.
Innovative Teaching & Learning
The teaching and learning at MEC is an active process which occurs contextually. The learning activities are derived mainly from socio-cultural and cognitivist perspectives on teaching and learning. To support deep learning and active student engagement blended teaching and learning methodology is adopted with emphasis on flipped learning.
Research and Consultancy
Students and staff at postgraduate studies are actively engaged in research and have published more than 80 research paper in student and international conferences.
